Oil inventories increased by 1.9 million barrels during the week ended September 23, 2011 according to the weekly petroleum status report from the EIA. The September 28 report also states that gasoline inventories were higher by 800,000 barrels and inventories of distillate fuels increased by 100,000 barrels.
Refinery utilization was 87.8%, down .5% from the previous week.
