The EIA petroleum inventory report for August 10, 2011 states that U.S. crude oil inventories decreased by 5.2 million barrels during the week ended August 5, 2011.
Gasoline inventories were lower by 1.6 million barrels and distillate inventories declined by 700,000 barrels.
U.S. refinery utilization was 90% up 0.7% from the previous week.
