Oil Inventories Decline 5.2M

The EIA petroleum inventory report for August 10, 2011 states that U.S. crude oil inventories decreased by 5.2 million barrels during the week ended August 5, 2011. 

Gasoline inventories were lower by 1.6 million barrels and distillate inventories declined by 700,000 barrels.

U.S. refinery utilization was 90% up 0.7% from the previous week.

EIA Report: Oil & Gasoline Inventories Post Increase

Oil inventories increased by 2.3 million barrels during the week ended July 22, 2011 according to the weekly petroleum status report from the EIA.  The July 27 report also states that gasoline inventories were higher by 1 million barrels and inventories of distillate fuels increased by 3.4 million barrels.

Refinery utilization was 88.3% down 2% from the previous week.

Refinery Utilization Tops 90%

The EIA reports that U.S. oil inventories declined by 3.7 million barrels during the week ended July 15, 2011.  Oil refining activity increased with U.S. refinery utilization numbers coming in at 90.3% of operable capacity, an increase of 2.3% from the previous week.

The EIA petroleum status report for July 20, 2011 also states that gasoline inventories increased by 800,000 barrels during the period while inventories of distillate fuels were higher by 3.4 million barrels.

 

API Inventory Report Oil -5.2M

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reports that U.S. crude oil inventories fell 5.2 million barrels during the week ended July 15, 2011.  The API also reports that refinery utilization increased by 1.2% and gasoline inventories rose 2.0 million barrels.  Distillate fuel inventories rose 1.1 million barrels according to the API report.

EIA Oil Inventories -3.1M Barrels

The EIA reports that U.S. oil inventories declined by 3.1 million barrels during the week ended July 8, 2011.

The EIA petroleum status report for July 14, 2011 also states that gasoline inventories declined by 800,000 barrels during the period while inventories of distillate fuels were higher by 3 million barrels.

U.S. refinery utilization came in at 88% of operable capacity, a decrease of 0.4% from the previous week.

API Oil Inventory Report

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reports that U.S. crude oil inventories increased by 2.3 million barrels during the week ended July 8, 2011.

The API also reports that gasoline inventories declined by 1.6 million barrels while stockpiles of distillate fuels rose 4.8 million barrels.
